Billing

Turn attendance into invoices.

When attendance and addons are up to date, billing has the information it needs. Tail Trail brings it together with your billing plans and rules, ready for you to review and send.

Billing plans

Set fixed prices for regular attendance.

Billing plans let you set a fixed monthly price for regular attendance.

Choose the services or events a plan covers and the number of days included each week. Attendance outside that arrangement is charged at the service’s usual rate.

Invoice rules

Set up pricing rules that reflect your business.

Invoice rules let you put your own pricing logic into Tail Trail.

For example, you can automatically apply a discount whenever a dog attends more than three times in a week. Or apply a fee for events that occur on the weekend.

Invoices

Prepared for you. Ready to send.

Invoices start with recorded attendance, then apply billing plans and invoice rules. You can also add custom items, with an optional date or event for context.

Payment providers

Bring your own provider without starting over.

Tail Trail never touches the money your customers pay you. Payments are processed through the payment provider you connect. Since Tail Trail has its roots in Amsterdam, it made sense to start with Mollie. It supports iDEAL payments and lets you request direct-debit mandates from within Tail Trail. Additional providers, including Stripe, are planned.

Mollie

Connect your Mollie account from the payment provider settings with the press of a button.

Existing mandates

Import existing customer mandates from Mollie and link them to the right customer.

Stripe and more

Stripe support is already planned. Use another provider? Tell me which one.

I'm rolling Tail Trail out gradually, to ensure it's a good fit for every business that comes on board. I'd love to hear how you run things today — the good bits, the messy bits, and the parts that could use a little less fuss.
